Featured Podcast: COVID-19 Update: Conducting Remote Workplace Investigations
One of the many benefits our members have access to is a constantly growing library of HR podcasts. The full library is accessible by members, when logged into the website, in the Professional HR Management Suite under the Forms and Notices tab.
Earlier this month, we released a podcast addressing an HR responsibility that, while always challenging, has been elevated to stratospheric levels of complexity in the Pandemic/Work-From-Home environment, and that is Conducting Workplace Investigations. Of course, the pandemic has changed so much about how everyday HR tasks are completed. A combination of remote work and additional health security measures have likely hampered workplace investigations. So much that may have been simple to recognize as an investigatable matter is now hidden from view due to the remote nature of much of the workforce.
In this featured podcast, Andre Caldwell of Ogletree Deakins in Oklahoma City, discusses this important issue. Mr. Caldwell began his career as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Western District of Oklahoma where he was assigned to the Violent Crime and Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force and was awarded the FBI Director’s award from FBI Director Robert Mueller for his outstanding prosecutorial skills. Prior to joining Ogletree Deakins, he was a shareholder at one of the largest and oldest law firms in Oklahoma and was an active member of the Criminal Defense Compliance and Investigations and Litigation and Trial practice groups.
